PAX7
عملکرد
این پروتئین در تکامل ستیغ عصبی، لایهزایی و ماهیچهزایی نقش دارد. PAX7 در کام ثانویه، فک بالا، غضروف مکل، میانمغز، حفرهٔ بینی، بافت پوششی بینی و کپسول آن و همچنین پل مغز بیان میشود.
اهمیت بالینی
این پروتئین در تکامل بافتهای جنینی و همچنین در رشد سلولهای سرطانی نقش مهمی ایفا میکند و با آنکه نقش دقیق آن هنوز مشخص نیست، اما تصور بر آن است که بهعنوان یک سرکوبگر تومور عمل میکند. اتصال این ژن به یک دومین سرچنگالی سبب بروز رابدومیوسارکوم آلوئولار میگردد. همچنین در موشها، جهش در ژن PAX7 با ناهنجاریهای بینی و فک بالا همراه بودهاست.[۱]
