ERG
ژن مرتبط با ETS (انگلیسی: ERG (ETS-related gene) یک آنکوژن است[۵][۶][۷] که متعلق به خانواده فاکتور رونویسی ETS است.[۸] این ژن پروتئینی را کدگذاری میکند که یک تنظیمکننده فاکتور رونویسی است. این خانواده پروتئینی در تنظیم فرایندهای رویانزایی، رشد سلول، تمایز سلولی، رگزایی، التهاب و آپوپتوز نقش دارد.
سرطان
هنگام جابهجایی کروموزومی در جریان تقسیم سلولها، گاهی ژن «ERG» به اشتباه به جایگاه کروموزومی دیگری منتقل میشود. نظیر این اتفاق در کروموزوم فیلادلفیا رخ میدهد. چنین جابجایی اشتباهی موجب پیوندهای ژنی نامناسب و مولکولهایی میشود که عواقب خطرناکی برای سلولها دارند. به عنوان مثال ژنهای ترکیبی «TMPRSS2-ERG»[۹] و «NDRG1-ERG» موجب سرطان پروستات، ژن ترکیبی «EWS-ERG» سبب سارکوم یوئینگ و ترکیب ژنی «FUS-ERG» موجب لوسمی حاد مغز استخوان[۱۰] میشود.[۱۱]
