Protein 18 koji sadrži domenu dezintegrina i metaloproteinaze je enzim koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom ADAM18.[5][6]
Ovaj gen kodira člana porodice ADAM (domen dezintegrina i metaloproteinaze). Članovi ove porodice su proteini usidreni u membrane, strukturno srodni dezintegrinima zmijskog otrova, i uključeni su u različite biološke procese, kao što su interakcije ćelija-ćelija i ćelija-matriks, uključujući oplodnju, razvoj mišića i neurogenezu. Protein koji kodira ovaj gen je protein površine sperme.[6]
