Darkthrone — блэк-металічны гурт з Нарвегіі. У перыяд з 1986 па 1987 г. гурт называўся Black Death, з 1987 года стала называцца Darkthrone.

Музыка

У перыяд наймення гурта Black Death да 1991 года, уключаючы дэбютны альбом Soulside Journey, група выконвала дэт-метал. Але пасля знаёмства з Еўранімусам наступныя тры альбома: A Blaze in the Northern Sky (1992), Under a Funeral Moon (1993) і Transilvanian Hunger (1994), як і ўсе наступныя да 2005 года (акрамя Goatlord (1996)), былі вытрыманы ў стылі блэк-метал.

У 2006 годзе група выпусціла альбом The Cult Is Alive, які ўжо не ўпісваўся ў папярэднія — на ім быў моцны ўплыў краст-панку. У наступных трох альбомаў гурт цалкам адыйшоў ад блэка і стаў выконваць спід-метал з моцным налётам краст-панка.
