Di Mesopotamia bagian Utara periode ini hanya berjalan antara sekitar 5300 dan 4300 SM.[3] Periode ini didahului oleh Periode Halaf dan Periode transisi Halaf-Ubaid kemudian digantikan oleh Periode Chalcolithic Akhir.
