Tesem (
= tsm) merupakan nama Mesir Purba untuk "anjing pemburu". Dalam sastera popular anjing ini bertelinga mencucuk dan berkaki panjang dengan ekor bergulung dari zaman Mesir awal, teteapi juga digunakan dengan rujukan kepada jenis "saluki/sloughi" bertelinga memangkas;[1] salah satu daripada beberapa jenis anjing di Mesir Purba, terutamanya jenis lebih akhir-akhir mempunyai penampilan paling serupa dengan greyhound.
