Alaunt ialah satu baka anjing pupus, baka asalnya telah wujud di Asia Tengah dan Eropah sejak zaman purba melalui abad ke-17. Sebilangan baka anjing moden dipercayaiTemplat:Oleh siapa diturunkan daripada Alaunt. Alaunt asli disangkakan menyerupai anjing gembala Kaukasus. Ia merupakan anjing besar berbulu pendek daripada jenis berubah-ubah. Alaunt dibiakbakakan oleh suku Alan, orang nomad berleluhur orang Sarmatia Indo-Eropah yang menuturkan satu bahasa Indo-Iran. Orang Alan dikenali sebagai pahlawan gagah, gembala, dan pembiak baka kuda dan anjing. Orang Alan membiakbakakan anjing mereka untuk bekerja dan telah mengembangkan strain berlainan pada baka untuk tugas tertentu.
