Windows XP (nom de còdi Whistler) es un sistèma operatiu de Microsoft iniciat lo 25 d'octobre de 2001 de la seria dels Windows, de la branca NT. Lo nom XP ven del mot anglés Experience (experiéncia). I a mai de de 400 milions de còpias vendudas en 2008. Existís 2 principalas versions de Windows XP : Windows XP Home edition (edicion familiala) e Windows XP Professional edition (edicion professionala).

Service Pack 1

Iniciat lo 9 setembre 2002, lo Service pack 1 permet lo supòrt de l'USB version 2.0. Permet tanben d'utilizar los disques durs de mai de 137 GB.

Service Pack 2

Iniciat lo 6 d'agost de 2004, lo Service pack 2 permet lo supòrt del Bluetooth, lo supòrt de 25 lengas (Arabi, Chinés(simplificat), Chinés (traditiocal), Chèc, Danés, Neerlandés, Finés, Francés, Alemand, Grèc, Ebrieu, Ongrés, Italian, Japonés, Corean, Norvegian, Polonés, Portugués (Brasil), Portugués, Rus, Eslovac, Eslovèn, Espanhòu, Suedés, Turc) e de manièra generala permet de melhorar lo sistèma operatiu.
