Preissac[1] (en francés Pressac) es una comuna occitana de Peitau situada dins lo departament de Viena e la region de Novela Aquitània, ancianament de Peitau-Charantas.

Preissac ven del nom latin d'òme Priscius ambe'l sufixe -acum[4], latinizacion del sufixe celtic -acon. Preissac èra donc la propietat de Priscius.
