Ovum ialah sel pembiakan atau gamet organisme betina[1] haploid. Kedua-dua haiwan dan embriofit mengandungi ovum. Perkataan ovum berasal daripada bahasa Latin dengan maksud "telur".[2]
Perkataan ovul digunakan untuk ovum muda bagi haiwan, begitu juga dengan struktur tumbuhan yang membawa gametofit betina dan sel telur yang berkembang menjadi benih selepas persenyawaan. Dalam tumbuhan renek dan alga, ovum juga turut digelar sebagai oosfera. Proses perkembangan ovum digelar oogenesis.
