Lalaji ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Hanang in der tansanischen Region Manyara.

Geografie

Lalaji ist ein Landbezirk im Norden von Tansania. Er liegt rund 30 Kilometer Luftlinie südwestlich der Distrikthauptstadt Katesh. Im Norden hat der Bezirk Anteil am See Balangida.[2] Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 17.343 Menschen in 3198 Haushalten[3] auf einer Fläche von 250 Quadratkilometern.[4]

Der Bezirk grenzt im Süden an die Region Dodoma, im Westen die Region Singida und sonst an vier Bezirke des Distrikts Hanang:[5]

Infrastruktur

  • Bildung: Es gibt keine weiterführende Schule im Bezirk.[7]
  • Elektrizität, Wasser: Von den 3586 Gebäuden im Bezirk hat keines einen Stromanschluss von Tanesco, 1388 beziehen Strom aus anderen Quellen wie Solarzellen und Generatoren. In 287 Gebäuden gibt es einen Wasseranschluss (Stand 2022).[8]
  • Gebäudenutzung: Von den 173 Gebäuden, die nicht für Wohnzwecke genutzt werden, sind 62 Geschäftslokale, gehören 55 religiösen Gemeinschaften, sind 21 Bürogebäude, 17 öffentliche Gebäude wie Schulen und Gesundheitseinrichtungen, 13 Gewerbebetriebe, 4 Hotels, 3 Lagerhäuser und 2 industrielle Anlagen (Stand 2022).[9]
