Laghanga ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Hanang in der tansanischen Region Manyara.

Geografie

Laghanga ist ein Landbezirk im Norden von Tansania. Er liegt etwa 30 Kilometer Luftlinie westlich der Distrikthauptstadt Katesh.[2] Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 14.910 Menschen in 2483 Haushalten[3] auf einer Fläche von 206 Quadratkilometern.[4]

Der Bezirk grenzt im Westen an die Region Singida und sonst an sechs Bezirke des Distrikts Hanang:[5]

Gliederung

Der Bezirk besteht aus vier Gemeinden (Swahili Mtaa) und 14 Orten (Swahili Kitongoji):[6]

Infrastruktur

  • Bildung: Es gibt zwei weiterführende Schulen im Bezirk.[7] Die Laghanga Secondary School[8] und die Udangu Secondary School[9] sind staatliche Schulen mit einer Ausbildung bis zur 4. Stufe.
  • Gesundheitseinrichtungen: Im Bezirk liegen zwei staatliche Ambulanzen.[10][11]
  • Elektrizität, Wasser: Von den 2990 Gebäuden im Bezirk haben 116 einen Stromanschluss von Tanesco, 1381 beziehen Strom aus anderen Quellen wie Solarzellen und Generatoren. In 19 Gebäuden gibt es einen Wasseranschluss (Stand 2022).[12]
  • Gebäudenutzung: Von den 222 Gebäuden, die nicht für Wohnzwecke genutzt werden, sind 63 Lagerhäuser, gehören 58 religiösen Gemeinschaften, sind 37 Geschäftslokale, 36 öffentliche Gebäude wie Schulen und Gesundheitseinrichtungen, 25 Bürogebäude, 7 Gewerbebetriebe, 2 Hotels, 2 industrielle Anlagen und eines ist ein Diplomatengebäude (Stand 2022).[13]
