Geographie

Authiou liegt etwa 38 Kilometer nordnordöstlich von Nevers am Rande des Morvan. Umgeben wird Authiou von den Nachbargemeinden von Chazeuil im Westen und Norden, Chevannes-Changy im Nordosten und Osten, Champlin im Südosten, Arthel im Süden sowie Arzembouy im Südwesten.
