Pliosauridae adalah sebuah famili reptil laut plesiosauria dari Trias Akhir sampai ke masa-masa awal Kapur Akhir (subkala Rhaetium sampai Turonium) di Australia, Eropa, Amerika Utara dan Amerika Selatan. Famili ini lebih inklusif dari spesies-spesies leher-pendek kepala-besar arketipe yang ditempatkan pada subklad Thalassophonea, dengan wujud-wujud basal yang serupa dengan plesiosauria lainnya dengan leher panjang. Mereka punah pada awal Kapur Akhir, lalu setelahnya digantikan oleh mosasauridae. Famili ini dinamai secara formal oleh Harry Seeley pada 1874.[1]
