Jembatan Ir. Soekarno adalah sebuah jembatan kabel pancang di Kota Manado, Sulawesi Utara yang melintasi perairan Teluk Manado dan muara Sungai Tondano dan menghubungkan Pinaesaan, Wenang, Manado dengan Sindulang Satu, Tuminting, Manado. Jembatan ini dibangun oleh Hutama Karya, diresmikan pada tanggal 28 Mei 2015.

Lokasi

Jembatan Soekarno ini terletak di pesisir pantai Manado, menghubungkan kawasan bisnis dan komersial Boulevard I Manado di Kelurahan Pinaesaan, Kecamatan Wenang dengan kawasan Boulevard II Manado di Kelurahan Sindulang Satu, Kecamatan Tuminting, Manado.^[5]

Jembatan ini melintasi perairan Teluk Manado dan muara Sungai Tondano dan melintas diatas Pelabuhan Manado dan Pasar Bersehati Manado.^[6]

Sejarah

Jembatan Soekarno mulai dibangun pada tahun 2003 oleh pemerintah pusat dengan menunjuk Hutama Karya sebagai kontraktor utamanya. Pembangunan jembatan ini sempat terbengkalai selama 12 tahun akibat kendala teknis tanah sekitar yang memerlukan penanganan khusus.^[7]

Atas permintaan Presiden Joko Widodo sebelum jembatan diresmikan sudah dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat umum, sehingga pada tanggal 26 Mei 2015 Jembatan ini sudah dibuka untuk umum sebelum diresmikan pada tanggal 28 Mei 2015 oleh Ketua DPR RI Puan Maharani bersama Menteri PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono.^[8]

Desain teknis

Jembatan Soekarno memiliki total panjang 1127 meter dengan lebar 17 meter dan bentang utamanya memiliki panjang 240 meter. Jembatan ini ditopang menara kabel stayed sebanyak 44 buah yang dibuat oleh perusahaan Perancis.^[9]

Lebar ruas jalan per jalur adalah 6 meter dilengkapi jembatan balance cantilever diatas aliran Sungai Tondano sepanjang 120 meter dan jalan pendekat selatan sepanjang 253 meter dan jalan pendekat utara sepanjang 244 meter.

Pariwisata

Jembatan Soekarno menjadi ikon landmark baru kota Manado, banyak warga dan wisatawan yang berhenti diatas jembatan untuk berfoto-foto karena pemandangan dari atas Jembatan yang cukup indah, dimana deretan Pulau Manado Tua, Bunaken, Gunung Klabat, Gunung Soputan hingga panorama kota Manado terlihat dengan jelas.^[10]
