Ang Sommo ay isang comune (komuna o munisipalidad) sa lalawigan ng Pavia, rehiyon ng Lombardia, hilagang Italya, mga 40 km sa timog ng Milan at mga 8 km timog-kanluran ng Pavia, sa silangang hangganan ng tradisyonal na rehiyon ng Lomellina.

May hangganan ang Sommo sa mga sumusunod na munisipalidad: Bastida Pancarana, Cava Manara, at Zinasco.

Kasaysayan

Ang pag-iral ng lugar ng Sommo ay nasaksihan noong 450 AD sa isang yugto sa buhay ni Epiphanius, ikawalong obispo ng Pavia na iniulat ng kaniyang biograpo at kahalili na si Ennodius. Ang Simbahan ng Pavia ay may mga ari-arian dito, na makikita rin sa mga diploma ng imperyal mula noong ikasiyam at ikasampung siglo.[4]

Ang simbahan ng parokya ng Sommo, isa sa pinakamatanda sa lugar, ay nagpalawak ng paggamit ng mga karapatan ng parokya sa isang malawak na hanay.[4]
