Trassanèl[1] (Trassanèu, Trassanèl en nòrma mistralenca[2]; Trassanel en francés) es una comuna lengadociana situada dins lo departament d'Aude e la region d'Occitània, ancianament de Lengadòc-Rosselhon.
Geografia
Toponimia
Las atestacions ancianas son : Treussanellum en 1217; Villare de Traussanello en 1262; Decimale quod dicitur Sancti Saturnini de Tersanello en 1269; Trassanellum, … Tressanellum en 1377; Tressarnellum en 1377; Tarsanellum…, ad Sanctum Saturninum en 1490; Terssanellum en 1529; Tersanel en 1532; Tressanelh en 1536; Trassanel en 1781[3][4].
Traçanèl es lo diminutiu de Tròuço, toponime que deriva del nom latin d'òme Terentius e del sufixe -anum, ambe desnasalizacion (*Trençan > *Treuçan > *Trauçan) e reculament d'accent[5] (*Trauçan > *Trauça). Traçanel se fixèt quand Tròuço èra probablament encara *Treuçan o benlèu *Trençan).
