Rodella[1] o Rodèsla[2],[3],[4],[5] (vièlh occitan: Rodella [6]) (Rodelle en francés) es una comuna roergassa situada dins lo departament d'Avairon e la region d'Occitània, ancianament de Miègjorn-Pirenèus.
Geografia
Lo vilatge de Rodèsla es situat al ras del causse de Lanhac, lo travèrsa Dordon.
Toponimia
Lo sieu nom vendriá de 'Ruthenula' que vol dire 'pichon Rodés'. Se n'es aital, lo resultat es logicament *Rodenla > Rodella o Rodèlla (dubertura de -e- etimologic). -ll- es pas primari, doncas sembla que se pòsca conservar a l'escrit.
Istòria
Lo vilatge es situat sus una arèsta calcària que d'en primièr foguèt utilizada per los galleses, un castèl e una glèisa foguèron bastits a l'Edat Mejana.
Lo sit ten egalament nombrosas cavitats que serviguèron de refugi.
