Glukosamina (C6H13NO5) ialah suatu gula amino dan pendahulu prominen dalam sintesis biokimia bagi protein dan lipid terglikosil. Glukosamina ialah sebahagian daripada struktur polisakardia kitosan dan kitin, yang menggubah rangka luar krustasea dan artropod lain, serta dinding sel kulat dan banyak organisma lebih tinggi. Glukosamina ialah salah satu monosakarida paling melimpahan.[1] Gula amino ini dihasilkan secara komersial dengan hidrolisis rangka luar krustasea atau, kurang biasanya, dengan penapaian bijian seperti jagung atau gandum.[2] Di Amerika Syarikat, glukosamina ialah salah satu daripada penokok diet bukan vitamin bukan mineral am digunakan oleh orang dewasa.[3]
