Bihar (Bhojpuri: 𑂥𑂱𑂯𑂰𑂩, sebutanⓘ) ialah sebuah negeri kesatuan India yang terletak di bahagian timur pusat India. Ibu negerinya ialah Patna.

Di utara Bihar ialah negeri Nepal. Bihar juga dikelilingi negeri Uttar Pradesh di barat, Jharkhand di selatan dan West Bengal di timur. Bihar terletak di Dataran Indo-Ganges yang subur. Secara kebudayaan, Bihar ialah sebahagian tanah Bhojpuri di India. Bihar juga tempat kelahiran presiden pertama India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad serta pejuang kebebasan legenda seperti Babu Kunwar Singh, Swami Sahajanand Saraswati, Basawon Singh (Sinha), Dr. Anugrah Narayan Sinha,[1]Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan , Dr. Sri Krishna Sinha dan Maulana Mazharul Haque.
