Situo
Sirk situas sub monto 813 m-ojn longa, sur malebenaĵo, laŭ rojo, laŭ traira flankovojo. Revúca troviĝas 13 km-ojn.
Historio
La unua mencio devenis pri la vilaĝo en 1427 en formo "Chyrk". En 1910 loĝis en Szirk 1366 da homoj, (1070 slovakoj, 260 hungaroj, 16 germanoj kaj aliaj). Ĝis Traktato de Trianon la vilaĝo apartenis al Hungara reĝlando, al Gömör kaj Kis-Hont, al distrikto de Ratkó, poste al Ĉeĥoslovakio, fine inter 1938-1945 kaj ekde 1993 al Slovakio. En 2001 loĝis en Sirk 1044 da homoj, (987 slovakoj, 38 ciganoj, 8 hungaroj, 5 ĉeĥoj kaj aliaj).
