Situo
Rankovce situas sur malebenaĵo, laŭ rojo, laŭ traira flankovojo. Košice troviĝas 28 km-ojn.
Historio
La vilaĝo estis unue menciita en la jaro 1332 en formo "Rank". En 1910 loĝis en Ránk 318 homoj, (208 slovakoj, 87 hungaroj, 4 germanoj). Ĝis Traktato de Trianon la vilaĝo apartenis al Hungara reĝlando, al Abaúj-Torna, poste al Ĉeĥoslovakio, fine inter 1939-1945 kaj ekde 1993 al Slovakio. En 2001 loĝis en Rankovce 554 homoj, (527 slovakoj, 24 ciganoj, 2 hungaroj, unusola ĉeĥo).
