Maxima Sequanorum
Maxima Sequanorum aŭ Sekvanio estis romia provinco de la Malfrua Romia Imperio, kreita per la administra reformo de Diokleciano (en 297), kiu ekzistis ĝis la komenco de la 5-a jarcento[1].
Ĝi enhavis la sekvantajn civitojn kaj teritoriojn :
- Sekvanoj, kun ĉefurbo Vesontio (Besançon)
- Lingonoj, kun ĉefurbo Andemantunnum (post la teritoria reformo de Teodozio la 1-a en ĉirkaŭ 380)
- Helvetoj, kun ĉefurbo Avenches
- Ekvestroj, kun ĉefurbo Nyon
- teritorio de Bazelo.
Ĝi estis ligita al la diocezo de la Gaŭlioj, mem dependanta de la prefektolando de la Gaŭlioj, kun ĉefurbo Treviro.
