AfC notification: Draft:Ku Klux Klan Honor Society has a new comment

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Ku Klux Klan Honor Society. Thanks! -- NotCharizard 🗨 05:30, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ku Klux Klan Honor Society draft

Hi! The draft is defnitely looking better with the new citations, but there's still some things uncited. For example, "In 1924, the emergence of a second group, Kappa Beta Lambda, which was explicitly affiliated with national Klan principles, prompted the original honor society to change its name to "Tumas."" where was this information from?

There is also some things that count as original research, such as "These groups reflect broader societal attitudes and the prevalence of systemic racism during that period." and "The existence of these honor societies at American universities highlights the pervasive culture of racial and religious bigotry that was casual and unexamined in its prevalence at the time." these make the article sound less like an encyclopedia article and more like an essay. Wikipedia is all about collecting what other people have said on a topic, rather than analysing the topic ourselves. -- NotCharizard 🗨 01:46, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Mike Moradian (April 7)

Draft declined
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Your draft submission to Articles for creation has been reviewed but not accepted at this time.
Feedback
The reviewer, Pythoncoder, left the following feedback:
This draft appears to be generated by a large language model (such as ChatGPT). You should not use LLMs to generate article content.

LLM-generated pages with the below issues may be deleted without notice.

These tools are prone to specific issues that violate our policies:

  • hallucinations: they often invent false information and cite non-existent references.
  • unencyclopedic tone: they tend to be vague, promotional, or essay-like, rather than neutral and factual.
  • copyright issues: they may closely paraphrase existing text, leading to copyright violations.

Instead, only summarize in your own words a range of independent, reliable, published sources that discuss the subject.

See the advice page on large language models for more information.

Next steps

  • Edit Draft:Mike Moradian to address the points above, making sure to publish any changes.
  • When you are ready to resubmit your draft for review, click the Resubmit button.
  • If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it may be deleted.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Marek v. Phi Theta Kappa (April 11)

Draft declined
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Your draft submission to Articles for creation has been reviewed but not accepted at this time.
Feedback
The reviewer, ThatTrainGuy1945, left the following feedback:
This draft's references do not show that the event meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for events. The draft requires multiple published secondary sources that:
  • provide significant coverage: discuss the event in detail, not just brief mentions or routine announcements;
  • show lasting significance: analysis published after the initial breaking news has passed, showing historical impact;
  • are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
  • are independent: not connected to the event, such as press releases, the event or organizers own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet all four of these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.
Appellate proceedings has no citations. Can you find more citations on the subject? I'm not sure if the case is too small (local?) to be notable, but I wouldn't not use that as a reason to count this out.
