User talk:Prehistoric Ice Man

June 2025

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Boyce and Hart, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 10:43, 21 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Martin Turner

Hi, I'm wondering whether you plan to work on Martin Turner's article as you've done with those of Andy Powell, Ted Turner and Laurie Wisefield? If not then I'll work on it myself – just didn't want to clash. Cheers, Bretonbanquet (talk) 01:13, 17 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'm shutting off for the night, I'll get starting in the morning. Prehistoric Ice Man (talk) 23:51, 3 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Steve Woolam moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Steve Woolam. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. 🌸wasianpower🌸 (talk • contribs) 02:28, 1 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bruce Loose, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Humboldt County. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:55, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Melvyn Hayes

Hi there, thank you for all the good content you've added to Melvyn Hayes, but it's requiring significant cleanup. Please make sure you've read the Manual of Style, which I'll link below. In particular, be aware that Wikipedia does not use phrasing such as "1st June" - it's "1 June" or June 1". Titles of works like films and newspapers always need to be in italics.

Also, formatting like the following is unnecessary and clutters up the page:

[[Adventure in the Hopfields|''Adventure in the Hopfields'']]

Please simply use this instead:

''[[Adventure in the Hopfields]]''

Thank you, Jessicapierce (talk) 16:01, 17 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Melvyn Hayes, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 16:01, 17 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Making stuff up

Hi, please don't just make stuff up based off on your own assumptions, like you did on the Chris Dreja page. Nowhere in the Noise11 article does it state a specific death date, yet you edited his page to say he died on 2nd October. This is impossible given that his death was first being reported by associates on social media on 1st October, meaning he died on either the 1st October, or days earlier in September. Until we have a reliable source for the finer details, always leave out what you do not know. Thanks Jkaharper (talk) 10:00, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
Sorry for the mistake however, i'll admit that I "assumed" he died on the 2nd but I won't admit to "just making stuff up". I only heard about Dreja's death today so when I saw the top result was the Noise11 article, I saw that it had only been published only a few minutes ago and so "assumed" that it had happened today, I had not yet seen the articles published about it on the 1st of October.
But overall, sorry for the mess up. Prehistoric Ice Man (talk) 16:44, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

John Gourley: infobox image and Forbes

With regard to your recent edit to John Gourley, I've restored the previous infobox image. Community discussions of which image would be the best first image in a biography frequently emphasize the advantages of a full face portrait, looking as directly at the camera as possible, in preference to profile or near-profile views. The article text is a bit too short at the moment to justify three photographs, but if the text were expanded, the image you chose would make a fine third image. For now I've put a link to it in the external links section.

Also note that Forbes articles by contributors (as opposed to staff) are generally unreliable unless published in the print magazine as well as online, or by a recognized subject matter expert. Wikipedia treats them as self-published sources, which may be used for the author's opinion, but may never be used for third-party claims about living persons. I've removed the citation of Forbes. --Worldbruce (talk) 18:15, 28 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
