Hi IVWolfs, you can turn on or off Dark Mode with a gadget: Wikipedia:Dark mode (gadget). For me this looks like a small link next to my "Watchlist" link at the top of the page. If you want it to be set when you are logged out, there are browser extensions for Firefox and Chrome, and hopefully other browsers. The details are here: Wikipedia:Dark mode -- Reconrabbit17:36, 1 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to write an entirely new Wikipedia article that I hope that others can work upon. So far, I only really have 1 Reddit post to work with. How do I begin writing this article? PanPanowicz (talk) 22:37, 4 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hi PanPanowicz, you will need more than just a Reddit post to write an article. There are some tips at Help:Your first article, but why not start with a simpler task before working your way up to writing a whole article? It's a major undertaking when you first start out. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 00:19, 5 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that doesn’t have enough sources right now. Maybe in 1-2 years. Hope for longer, as otherwise we either have more terrorists or world war 3. Wikipedian12512 (talk) 23:47, 5 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Congratulations, Reconrabbit! The article you nominated, European rabbit, has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best articles on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived. This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured article. May 2026 Administrator Elections – Candidate Instructions
Thank you for choosing to run in the May 2026 administrator elections. This bulletin contains some important information about the next stages of the election process.
As a reminder, the schedule of the election is:
May 6–7: Housekeeping phase (we are here)
May 8–12: Discussion phase
May 13–19: SecurePoll voting phase
Scrutineering phase
All times are in UTC. The first date in the range starts at 00:00, and the last date in the range ends at 23:59. So for example, the Discussion phase opens on 8 May 2026 at 00:00 UTC, and ends on 12 May 2026 at 23:59 UTC.
We are currently in the Housekeeping phase. Your candidate subpage will remain closed to questions and discussion. However, this is an excellent opportunity for you to recruit nominators (if you want them) and have them place their nomination statements, and a good time for you to answer the standard three questions, if you have not done so already. We recommend you spend this phase getting your candidate page polished and ready for the next phase.
The discussion phase will take place from May 8–12. Your candidate subpage will open to the public and they will be permitted to discuss you and ask you formal questions, in the same style as a request for adminship (RfA). You are strongly encouraged to be around on those dates to answer the formal questions in a timely manner.
On 13 May, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. Anyone can see who has voted, but not who they voted for. You are permitted and encouraged to vote in the election, including voting for yourself. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see your vote total during the election.
Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which does not have an exact end date, but typically takes a few days to a week. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the results page (you may want to watchlist this page) and transcluded to the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, you must receive at least 70% support, calculated as support ÷ (support + oppose), and must also have received a minimum of 20 support votes. Because this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("'crat chats").
Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation as a candidate, and best of luck.
You're receiving this message because you are a candidate in the May 2026 administrator elections.
Hello, I hope all is well. My article was denied and I was accused of using AI. I definitely did not use AI whatsoever. I wrote everything myself. I edited it a bit to try and address concerns but I don't know what else to do. --LaborHistoryResearch (talk) 00:03, 7 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Regardless of the other editors' concerns, there is no way that this article will be published under the current policy of biographies of living persons as you have left several entire sections without sources, such as "early life" and "education". I am sorry but you will have to find more information and go back to the drawing board. I also find it weird that a lot of the references are given titles that are similar but do not match the actual titles when you go to the source. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 00:34, 7 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
What doesn't match? There are no footnotes that indicate where the "early life" and "education" sections are sourced to. The policies WP:BLP and WP:V strongly discourage this. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 22:29, 23 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! I know that currently you will likely be quite busy, what with the admin elections and all. I would like to request that, if it isn't too much, you answer my (slightly intrusive) questions. Thanks! Wikipedian12512(alt) (talk) 15:31, 10 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I've answered one of your questions. The other, 19, is confusing and I don't really understand what you are asking. The only applicable thing would be if some illness or disaster befell me or I became so stressed for time due to work or other obligations that I could no longer edit Wikipedia, but I don't profess to predict the future and the above would apply to any admin, not just me. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 16:46, 10 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Here's an explanation for the second question (if you want it):
Would not becoming an admin make you try to improve by following suggestions, make you discouraged, or not affect you in the slightest? Would becoming an admin give you a confidence boost, give you a sense of "doneness", or not affect you in the slightest?
Hello,
I made some edits to the non profit page where I work to update our actual programs. I received some suggestions back to my edits, but I need assistance in incorporating and making these updaets.
thank you,

Hello Kathleen @Contemporary-arts, I would like to help, but it looks like those edits were made on another account, since I can't see any changes you made and you didn't name the non profit in question. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 20:56, 11 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

MSK and I had very slow FACs so that's the only reason it didn't turn into a close race at the end of Round 2. I am not sure what FA I will go for next but I have a lot of reviewing to make up for all my nominations. I have a FAC that has passed the 30-day mark, with three supports and both image and source reviews. Three reviews is usually the most any of my articles can hope to get there; I'm not sure why they're being pokey about it. Bgsu98(Talk)16:44, 14 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

hey yes! Im trying to get my first page out there. its an employer of mine. How can you help me make sure im meeting all guidlines --Dougkimeditor (talk) 06:23, 18 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, my best advice for you is to find sources to support writing your article before you do anything else. These sources should ideally be independent from the subject. Start by creating a draft in your own words with a few references and I will be happy to look at it to provide feedback if you respond here. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 12:13, 18 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
YO! Reconrabbit, Here is what im thinking to use as sources!!!
KCUR coverage on AY Young and Battery Tour
The Kansas City Star coverage on AY Young, Battery Tour, and Kansas City sustainability work
The Pitch profile/coverage on AY Young and his UN Young Leaders selection
Startland News coverage on AY Young, Battery Tour, and the clean-energy concert model
TheGrio coverage on AY Young and Battery Tour
Official United Nations / UNDP sources verifying the UN Young Leaders recognition
My plan is to rely mainly on independent media sources for notability and use official sources only for basic verification. I’m trying to make sure I avoid things that make you guys say NO lol,
Below is my attempt at a super neutral draft in my own words. I’m not trying to make it promotional. I’m mainly trying to see whether the structure, tone, and sourcing approach are moving in the right direction before I continue.
One last question I had since AY is also a recording artist, would it make sense to include a short “Music career” or “Selected works” section if the releases can be supported by reliable sources? I tried to do that at the end but I can delete if you want !!!
Draft:
AY Young is an American pop artist, singer, rapper, entrepreneur, and sustainability advocate from Kansas City, Missouri. He is known for founding Battery Tour, a live-music initiative that stages performances using renewable-energy and portable battery systems, and for being selected in 2020 as one of the United Nations' Young Leaders for the Sustainable Development Goals.
Early life and career
Young grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. Homeschooled by his mother from K-10th grade. He attended Lincoln College Preparatory Academy Junior and Senior year of High school and later played basketball at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. In 2012, Young and his brother auditioned for The X Factor, which was later cited in local coverage as an early point in his public music career. Local profiles have described his early interest in poetry, music, and community performance.
Battery Tour
Young founded Battery Tour in 2012. The project uses portable batteries and renewable-energy systems to power live performances. Independent coverage by KCUR, Startland News, The Pitch, The Kansas City Star, and TheGrio has described the project as combining music, community engagement, and sustainability education.
Sustainability work
In 2020, Young was selected as one of 17 United Nations Young Leaders for the Sustainable Development Goals. The appointment was covered by KCUR, The Pitch, KSHB, and The Kansas City Star. I think you have a great foundation here. I look forward to whatever you create + will be happy to assist. Some other things you might want to add - this RSA Journal article is all about him [1], and he participated in a 2025 Future Green Leaders Summit in San Bernardino [2][3]. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 19:39, 18 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Also adding this Kansas City Star article
The Kansas City Star — “He’s powered concerts with batteries. Now rapper is powering KC’s green movement”
here is what I have think it’s ready and I have alll the source links for everything separate list btw
What should I do next? Make a draft ?
AY Young is an American pop artist, singer, rapper, entrepreneur, Actor and sustainability advocate from Kansas City, Missouri. He is the CEO and founder of the Battery Tour, a live-music platform established in 2012 that uses renewable energy and portable battery systems to power public performances. In 2020, Young was selected as one of the United Nations Young Leaders for the Sustainable Development Goals.
Early life and career
Young is from Kansas City, Missouri. Before pursuing music professionally, he wrote poetry and performed as a rapper. Young traces the beginning of his professional music career to 2012, when he competed on the second season of *The X Factor* at the Sprint Center (now the T-Mobile Center) in Kansas City. Following this appearance, he continued to develop his music independently, eventually transitioning from rapping to performing primarily as a pop artist.
Music and the Battery Tour
Young is a recording artist whose work frequently connects to sustainability and social-impact themes. Early in his career, he performed in public spaces around Kansas City. Seeking alternatives to traditional venue infrastructure, he began experimenting with portable power sources. In 2012, he founded the Battery Tour, utilizing solar panels and battery systems to power his performances. Early shows took place in local areas such as the Country Club Plaza and Westport, and were funded by audience donations.
As the Battery Tour expanded, Young aligned the project with broader sustainability initiatives, including energy access, food, and water security. The project evolved from local public performances into a touring model. Young has stated that the Battery Tour is the longest-running clean-energy concert tour globally, having completed over 960 solar-powered concerts as he works toward a 1,000-show milestone.
His recorded music has also reached wider audiences through media placements; his song "AYO" was licensed for the documentary series Down to Earth with Zac Efron. His later work includes *Project 17*, a music project designed to correspond directly with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Sustainability and advocacy
In 2020, the United Nations named Young a Young Leader for the Sustainable Development Goals in recognition of his efforts to combine music and clean energy. He was subsequently included in Generation17, a joint partnership between Samsung and the United Nations Development Programme that highlights young leaders advocating for the Global Goals.
In 2026, Kansas City appointed Young as its first sustainability ambassador. In this role, he works with the city's Office of Environmental Quality on a storytelling and community outreach campaign designed to connect the city's climate and resiliency goals with public engagement. His ongoing work at the intersection of music and climate advocacy has been profiled by regional and national media outlets, including *The Kansas City Star*, Startland News, and TheGrio ~2026-29820-29 (talk) 23:15, 18 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I would start a draft, but as a question... Have you used a tool like Grammarly or another AI assistant to format this text? I notice your use of asterisks (*) which aren't looked on kindly by most of the Wikipedia community (see this page WP:NEWLLM). -- Reconrabbit (talk) 02:16, 19 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I just ran it through spellcheck on there . Should I not have? I can reverse ? I can also make sure no asterisks etc are on there . I was pasting fast to show you draft !!!! ~2026-29820-29 (talk) 02:18, 19 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
It's still AI slop, especially the last sentence. Spell check is fine, but avoid using Grammarly, which pollutes your work with AI generated prose. ~Anachronist (who / me) (talk) 14:28, 20 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Jeez should I rewrite maybe I shouldn’t use spellcheck at all
Spell check isn't the same as grammar check. Spell check doesn't require AI. Grammarly's checking goes way beyond spelling, modifying your text to fill it with typical AI-style writing. We don't care about poor grammar; there are enough other editors here who can correct it. We want to see human writing, warts and all. Then it can be fixed. That's what editors here do, we fix things. ~Anachronist (who / me) (talk) 23:42, 25 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
ok. i typed this all out myself in my own words and only used the profread function from google docs to avoid AI and other BS with grammerly.

i had to click publish so it stays so we can edit while its there is that ok? right now it should be on there becuase it kept disappearing when i didnt clickp publish. also there is this thing im hearing about "wiki" format which i know i didn't do just yet but maybe you can walk me through that afte you take a look at the document Dougkimeditor (talk) 00:13, 28 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I'm working on it. I would like to help you learn how to edit here too. Are you using the visual editor, which lets you edit like a "Google doc", or the source editor which looks more like code? -- Reconrabbit (talk) 01:14, 28 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Dougkimeditor, take a look at Draft:AY Young now. The format that is used at the end - that makes the "References" text into a section heading - you should try to make the other section headings like "Music and Live Performance" look the same way. I also made some footnotes at the end of some paragraphs so it is clear where the information is coming from that verifies the text. I'd like you to do the same thing. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 01:25, 28 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, thanks for bringing these articles to my attention.
I find it hard to justify including a list of services that a credit union provides in a Wikipedia article. A reader will be much better served by going to the website of a credit union to find out information on what kinds of accounts they offer, for example, than they are going to Wikipedia and finding a summary of what the services may have been years and years ago. I hope this is helpful to you. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 20:31, 22 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Reconrabbit, thanks for your quick response. I see what you mean. This section is likely to become outdated if services adjust or change over time. The website is a better source of truth for any of these credit unions. Thanks again! Extractable (talk) 20:55, 22 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
My finished work, with your (and others') help!
Hi, I don't know if you remember me, but I'm the Soviet space dogs editor who's previously asked you for help (thanks to our discussion, you've also created an article about the Soviet space dogs book!). I just wanted to let you know that thanks to your guidance, and the feedback of many other editors, I've finally updated the Soviet space dogs article, added my table, and made lots of (in my humble opinion) improvements. If you'd like, I encourage you to check the article out and review it, and give me any feedback or suggestions if you come across something that can be further improved. You're the first person I've ever reached out to when I started editing Wikipedia, and you gave me a lot of confidence and showed me how nice the community here can be. This is not really a typical "editing help" message, but I'd be delighted if you could see my upgraded article and tell me if there's anything else I can do. I'm still worried here and there that I might have done something wrong, but overall I'm happy with the changes I made.
Also, I just wanted to thank you once again for your help and send a nice message that can hopefully inspire more beginners. Cheers! :) Vicccqh7 (talk) 22:11, 22 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. But. That picture is poor quality (head cutted, unsquare) that is why I am telling you delete and not keep those headshot and unsquare files by the coming 12 hrs. Hfhtdjf (talk) 20:30, 27 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
What about just using {{Easy CSS image crop|image=Arif Mohammad Khan in Bihar with PM Narendra Modi.jpg|align=center|crop_bottom_perc=30|crop_top_perc=2}} which makes this:
I have already explained why I will not do that. Please do not ask me about this subject again. I will remove any further edits you make on this subject from my talk page. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 19:51, 28 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Myles, my name is Daniel (he/him). I'll be working on the Talia Mae Bettcher draft you submitted. Thank you for your contributions, I hope that I can help to establish notability and add reliable secondary sources. Full disclosure, I am working on behalf of Dr. Bettcher as a grad student and Trans Studies Fellow at CSULA. This is my first time working on an article so please feel free to leave me any feedback and I apologize in advance if I make any mistakes! Hi Daniel. I moved the article on Talia Mae Bettcher, written by User:OnyekeEjike to a draft because it entirely relied on works that Bettcher was directly connected to. I appreciate you working on this article. If you can find references that establish notability under any of the criteria for Wikipedia:Notability (academics) you should do well. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 01:50, 2 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! I recently submitted an edit request to update some outdated information on the University at Buffalo page. Whenever you might have a chance, would you be willing to take a look as an impartial editor? I would appreciate your review. Thank you! --Dragonfly reformist643 (talk) 15:02, 3 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
