Hefei Metro
Hefei Rail Transit (Chinese: 合肥轨道交通), also known as Hefei Metro (Chinese: 合肥轨道), is a rapid transit system in Hefei, China. Lines in operation
Line 1Line 1 began construction on 1 June 2012 and was opened on December 26, 2016.[2] The color of Line 1 is red. Line 2Line 2 opened on December 26, 2017.[7][8][9][10] Thales Saic Transport is providing the line with urban rail traffic management and CBTC systems. The color of Line 2 is blue. Line 3Line 3 opened on December 26, 2019.[6] The color of Line 3 is green. Line 4Line 4 opened on December 26, 2021,[11] along with the section from Beiyanhu to Qinglonggang, which is planned to be split into Line 6. The color of Line 4 is orange. Line 5Line 5 opened on December 26, 2020. The color of Line 5 is chartreuse. Line 8Line 8 opened on December 26, 2024.[3] The color of Line 8 is blue. Future developmentPhase III PlanThe extensions of Lines 2, 3, 4, and the first phase of Lines 6, 7, 8 and regional line S1 are approved by National Development and Reform Commission.[12] All lines the Phase III expansion are under construction.[13]
With all lines opened, Hefei Metro will have a network length of 342.1 km (212.6 mi) and 234 stations. Phase IV PlanCurrently, a number of projects are proposed in the Phase IV expansion such as Line 2 West Extension, Line 7 Phase II, Line 8 Phase II, Line 9 Phase I and Line 12.[14] Totalling 115.6 km (71.8 mi) of new metro lines.[15] References
