Kloniranje i ekspresija

Pahl et al. (1998) izolirali su cDNK ljudske vaskularne glatke mišićne ćelije koja kodira protein koji su označili kao ZNF207. Predviđeni protein od 478 aminokiselina sastoji se od gotovo 20% ostataka prolina i sadrži potencijalni signal lokalizacije jedarne energije na N-kraju i dva motiva C2H2 cinkovog prsta. Northern blot analiza otkrila je da se ZNF207 eksprimira sveprisutno.

Fluorescentnom hibridizacijom in situ, Pahl et al. (1998) mapirali su gen ZNF207 na 6p21.3. Rasooly (1999) primetio je da se sekvenca ZNF207 nalazi u kloniranoj regiji hromosoma 17 (AC005899).[7]
