Radio je bežični prijenos signala korištenjem elektromagnetskih valova kojima su frekvencije niže od frekvencija infracrvene svjetlosti, pa se prema tome zovu i radiotalasi.

Radio ima uticaj na mnoga područja, pa se pojam radio koristi većinom u riječima kao što su radiotehnika, radio-komunikacije, radio-difuzija, radio-uređaji itd.
