Funkcija

Nukleaze su komponente metabolizma DNK i RNK, koje obavljaju funkcije u popravljanju, replikaciji i rekombinaciji DNK te u preradi i razgradnji RNA. SFN je homolog Orn-a, 3-pra-u-5-pajmera egzoribonukleaza Escherichia coli koja napada slobodnu 3-primarnu hidroksilnu grupu na jednolančanoj RNK, oslobađajući 5-primarne mononukleotide na uzastopni način.[5]
