Funkcija
Protein kodiran ovim genom je član natporodice TNF-receptora. Ovaj receptor je posebno bogat krvnim tkivima. Pokazalo se da aktivira NF-kapaB put i selektivno veže faktor 1 (TRAF1) povezan sa TNF receptorima. Ovaj receptor je sposoban stimulirati proliferaciju T-ćelija u prisustvu signala CD3, što sugerira njegovu regulatornu ulogu u imunskom odgovoru. Prijavljene su dvije alternativno prerađene varijante transkripta ovog gena koje kodiraju isti protein.[9]
