Funkcija

Proizvod ovog gena funkcionira za održavanje stabilnosti dineinskog srednjeg lanca. Njegovo osiromašivanje rezultira agregacijom i razgradnjom međuproizvoda dineina, pogrešnom lokalizacijom kompleksa dineina iz kinetohora, mikrotubulskog vretena i polova vretena i gubitak gama-tubulina sa vretenskih polova. Protein se lokalizira u Golgijevom aparatu tokom interfaze, a razine mu se povećavaju nakon translscije G1/S.[5]
