Funkcija

Ovaj gen kodira slabo povezan periferni membranski protein povezan s proteinima porodice LanC povezanim s bakterijskom membranom uključenim u biosintezu antimikrobnih peptida. Ovaj protein može imati ulogu peptidne komponente koja modificira enzim u eukariotskim ćelijama. Ranije se smatrao članom natporodice G-proteinspregnutih receptora, ali je sada u porodici LanC. Identificirano je više alternativno prerađenih varijanti, koje kodiraju isti protein.
