Funkcija

Protein kodiran ovim genom sadrži klasičan obrazac superporodice insulina i značajno je sličan relaksinskom faktoru i relaksinu. Ovaj gen je prvenstveno eksprimiran u sjemenicima. Njegova ekspresija u testisima ograničena je na intersticijske ćelije koje okružuju sjemenske tubule, što ukazuje na ulogu u razvoju spermatozoida i oplodnji.
