Funkcija
U enzimologiji, ovaj enzim pripada porodici transferaza, posebno onih prenosnih grupa aciltransferaza koje nisu aminoacil grupe. Katalizira u hemijsku reakciju:
Ovaj enzim učestvuje u razgradnji glikozaminoglikanske i glikanske strukture. Mutacija u genu koji kodira ovaj enzim uzrokuje mukopolisaharidozu IIIC.[6]
