Fibrinogenoliki protein 1 (FGL-1) je protein koji je strukturno sličan fibrinogenu. Kod ljudi kodiran je genom FGL1.[5][6] Odgovarajući gen ima ćetiri prerađene varijante.

Dužina polipeptidnog lanca je 312 aminokiselina, а molekulska težina 36.379 Da.[7]

Funkcija
Protein 1 sličan fibrinogenu je član proteinske porodice fibrinogena, koja također uključuje fibrinogen, protein sličan fibrinogenu 2 i faktore zgrušavanja V, VIII i XIII. FGL-1 je homologan karboksi-terminalu fibrinogena beta– i gama– podjedinica koja sadrži četiri konzervirana cisteina koji su zajednički svim članovima porodice fibrinogena. Međutim, FGL-1 nema mjesto vezanja trombocita, područje umrežavanja i trombin-osjetljivo mjesto koje dopušta ostalim članovima porodice fibrinogena da pomognu u stvaranju fibrinskog ugrušaka.[6]
Uočeno je i da se FGL-1 snažno veže i aktivira LAG-3, regulatorni protein eksprimiran na T-ćelijama. Budući da LAG-3 ima važnu ulogu u kontroli aktiviracije T-ćelija. Manipulacija vezivanja FGL-1 za T-ćelije predložena je i za imunoterapiju protiv kancera i za protivupalno liječenje.[8]
Klinički značaj
FGL-1 može imati ulogu u razvoju hepatoćelijskog karcinoma.[6]
