Homolog FCF1 proteina prerade rRNK je protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom FCF1.

Neokarakterizirani protrini Fcf1 i Fcf2 Saccharomyces cerevisiae, kodirani otvorenim okvirom čitanja YDR339c, odnosno YLR051c, identificirani su u eksperimentu za tandemsko prečišćavanje afiniteta poznatog 40S faktora Faf1p. Većina proteina povezanih s TAP-Faf1p su transaktivni faktori koji su uključeni u preradu pre-rRNK i biogenezu podjedinice 40S, u skladu s prethodno uočenom ulogom Faf1p u sintezi 18S rRNA. Fcf1p i Fcf2p su neophodni i lokaliziraju se u jedarcetu. Iscrpljivanje Fcf1p i Fcf2p dovodi do smanjenja sinteze 18S rRNK, što rezultira deficitom u ribosomskim podjedinicama 40S. Northern blot analiza ukazuje na neefikasnu obradu pre-rRNK na mjestima cijepanja A (0), A (1) i A (2).[5][6]
