Funkcija

Protein kodiran ovim genom podjedinica je kompleksa CCR4-NOT, globalnog transkripcijskog regulatora i deadenilazatora. Kodirani protein stupa u interakciju s CNOT1 i ima aktivnost ubikvitin-ligaza. Za ovaj gen pronađeno je nekoliko varijanti transkripta, koje kodiraju različite izoforme. (prema bRefSeq, juli 2010). Bolesti povezane sa CNOT4 uključuju adenoiditis.[7]
