Atentat
Atentat[1][2] je ciljano ubistvo, ili pokušaj ubistva poznate ličnosti, najčešće političara ili druge za društvo važne individue. Ono što izdvaja atentat od drugih vidova ubistava je njegova politička ili ideološka motivisanost, iako mnogi atentati, posebno oni koji nisu dio organizovang pokreta, odaju elemente ludila. Drugi motivi mogu biti novac kao kod naručenih ubitstava, osveta ili vojna operacija.
Atentat je jedno od najstarijih oruđa politike moći. Datira barem iz zapisane historije.
