Ancona (fon. Ankona) jest grad i luka u srednjoj Italiji na obali Jadrana. Glavni je grad istoimene pokrajine i regije Marche s nešto manje od 100.000 stanovnika (2022).[1] Ime grada grčkog je porijekla i znači "lakat".
Ancona je važna luka i saobraćajni čvor u ovom dijelu Italije. Smještena je 210 km sjeveroistočno od Rima. Grad ima aerodrom.
