Haplophrentis carinatus dari Formasi Stephen, Batu Burgess (Kambrium Tengah), Burgess Pass, British Columbia, Kanada.

Haplophrentis adalah sebuah genus hyolithida bercangkang kecil yang hidup pada periode Kambrium. Cangkangnya panjang dan berbentuk kerucut, dengan bagian yang terbuka terlindungi dengan sebuah operkulum. Mencuat dari operkulum tersebut adalah dua lengan lunak yang disebut helens, dari kedua sisi hewan tersebut. Lengan ini berfungsi untuk meninggikan bukaan cangkangnya di atas dasar laut, seperti jangkungan.[2]
