Ang Milis, Miris, o Milis sa wikang Sardo, ay isang comune (komuna o munisipalidad) sa Lalawigan ng Oristano, awtonomong rehiyon ng Cerdeña, kanlurang Italya, na matatagpuan mga 100 kilometro (62 mi) hilagang-kanluran ng Cagliari at mga 15 kilometro (9 mi) hilaga ng Oristano. Noong Disyembre 31, 2004, mayroon itong populasyon na 1,704 at may lawak na 18.7 kilometro kuwadrado (7.2 mi kuw).[3]

Ang Milis ay may hangganan sa mga sumusunod na munisipalidad: Narbolia, Bauladu, Bonarcado, San Vero Milis, Seneghe, at Tramatza.

Kasaysayan

Ang Milis ay nasa teritoryo ng Giudicato ng Arborea, sa makasaysayang rehiyon ng Campidano di Oristano at kabesera ng curatoria ng Campidano di Milis, kung saan ito ang kabesera.

Sa pagbagsak ng Giudicato (1420) ito ay naging bahagi ng Markesado ng Oristano, at sa tiyak na pagkatalo ng mga taong Arbori (1478) ito ay napasailalim sa sakop ng mga Aragones at naging isang piyudo. Noong ika-18 siglo, isinama ito sa Markesado ng Arcais, isang kabesera ng Flores Nurra, kung saan ito tinubos noong 1839, kasama ang pagbuwag sa sistemang piyudal.

Kahit na matapos ang hudikatura, pinanatili ng bayan ang tungkulin nito bilang lokal na kabesera at kalaunan ay naging lugar ng bilangguan, hukuman, at punong-tanggapan ng pulisya.
