MacOS

Ang macOS, dating kilala bilang OS X (play /ˌoʊ ɛs ˈtɛn/)[1] at Mac OS X,[2] ay mga serye ng mga graphical interface operating system na nakabatay sa Unix na ginawa, pinapamahagi, at binebenta ng Apple Inc. Dinesenyo ito para eksklusibong tumakbo sa mga kompyuter na Mac na nakargahan na sa lahat ng mga Mac noon pang 2002. Ito ang sumunod sa Mac OS 9, na nilabas noong 1999, ang huling labas ng "klasikong" Mac OS, na naging pangunahing operating system ng Apple noon pang 1984. Nailabas ang unang bersiyon na Mac OS X Server 1.0 noong 1999, at sumunod noong Marso 24, 2001 ang pang-desktop na bersiyon, Mac OS X v10.0 "Cheetah". Pinangalan sa mga malalaking pusa ang mga bersiyon ng OS X: halimbawa, tinutukoy ang OS X v10.8 bilang "Mountain Lion" (Tagalog: Leong Bundok).
