Ang Burgio (Siciliano: Burgiu) ay isang komuna (munisipalidad) sa Malayang Konsorsiyong Komunal ng Agrigento sa Italyanong rehiyon ng Sicilia, na matatagpuan mga 60 kilometro (37 mi) timog ng Palermo at mga 40 kilometro (25 mi) hilagang-kanluran ng Agrigento.

May hangganan ang Burgio sa mga sumusunod na munisipalidad: Caltabellotta, Chiusa Sclafani, Lucca Sicula, Palazzo Adriano, at Villafranca Sicula.

Pinagmulan ng pangalan

Ang pangalan ng bayan ay nagmula sa Arabeng burg, "tore" o "batong bahay" at mula sa Griyegong πύργος, pyrgos, ibig sabihin ay "tore".

Heograpiyang pisikal

Ito ay 69 km mula sa Agrigento at 95 km mula sa Palermo. Matatagpuan sa 317 m sa itaas ng antas ng dagat, ang bayan ay kumukuha ng katangian nitong pisionomiya mula sa paglalagay sa isang tatsulok na dalisdis sa pagsasama-sama ng lambak ng Garella at ang batis ng Tina, kaliwang mga sanga ng Ilog ng Verdura.
