Istòria
L'origina del vilatge es çò abbaye de Santa-Walburge fondada en la "Bòsc Sant", al nòrd de Haguenau. L'origina remonta a 1074 amb l'autorizacion donada per Thierry de Montbéliard a fraires de fondar una aquela. La fondacion de la abbaye li cal remontar a l'intervencion a Frédéric de Staufen, pòrti de Souabe, e a Pèira de Lutzelbourg, cap a 1100.
Lo nom de Walbourg es una déformation de Walburge[3].
L'origine du village est l'abbaye de Sainte-Walburge fondée dans la "Forêt Sainte", au nord de Haguenau. L'origine remonte à 1074 avec l'autorisation donnée par Thierry de Montbéliard à des moines de fonder une celle. La fondation de l'abbaye doit remonter à l'intervention à Frédéric de Staufen, duc de Souabe, et à Pierre de Lutzelbourg, vers 1100.
Le nom de Walbourg est une déformation de Walburge[4].
