Terra Australis

Terra Australis es un continent imaginari dins l'emisfèri sud entre Austràlia e Patagònia per lu cartografes europèus entre lu sègles XV e XVIII. En efècte, li teorias de l'equilibri dau periòde permetián de conjecturar la preséncia d'un important continent au pòle Sud en rason de la proporcion relativament febla de tèrras emergidi dins lo rèsta de l'emisfèri sud[1]. La quista per trobar aqueli tèrras menèt a la descobèrta dau continent antartic.
