Monterrey es la capitala e la vila pus granda de l'estat mexican de Nuevo León. En 2010 aviá 1 130 960 abitants e 415 000 abitant per l'airal metropolitan. Escaissada la "Ciutat de la Montanha" e la "Sultana del Nòrd", es la tresena vila de Mexic en poulacion e en importància.
Modèrne centre industrial e commercial situat al pè de la Sierra Madre Orientale, Monterrey foguèt fondada per Diego de Montemayor en 1596.
