Las atestacions ancianas son Burdiniaco en 1061 e en 1090, Burdigna en 1190, Burdinia en 1252, Bourdigne en 1632, Burdigne 1678, Saint-Martin-de-Burdigné e Burdignes au segle XVIII[1].
