Tanta (Arab: طنطا Ṭanṭa  disebut [ˈtˤɑntˤɑ], Bahasa Qibti: ⲧⲁⲛⲧⲁⲑⲟ) merupakan sebuah bandar di Mesir. Tanta mempunyai populasi 658,798 pada 2018, menjadikannya bandar kelima paling ramai penduduk di Mesir.[2] Tanta terletak di antara Kaherah dan Iskandariah: 94 km (58 bt) utara Kaherah dan 130 km (81 bt) tenggara Iskandariah. Ibu kota Kegabenoran Gharbia,[3] ia adalah pusat untuk industri pembuatan kapas.[4]
