Rainer Weiss

Rainer "Rai" Weiss (/waɪs/; bahasa Jerman: [vaɪs]; lahir 29 September 1932 – 25 Ogos 2025) ialah seorang ahli fizik Amerika, yang terkenal dengan sumbangan sumbangan fizik dan astrofiziknya. Beliau adalah profesor emeritus fizik di MIT dan seorang profesor tambahan di LSU. Beliau terkenal kerana mencipta teknik interferometri laser yang merupakan operasi asas LIGO. Beliau adalah Pengerusi Kumpulan Kerja Sains COBE.[1][2][3]
